With more than three decades behind the lens, Sylvia Liber creates imagery rooted in truth, instinct, and emotion. Her longstanding career in photojournalism taught her to see quickly and feel deeply — to recognise the subtle tension, tenderness, or story within a fleeting moment. Now working from Yeppoon on the Capricorn Coast, she blends documentary sensibilities with an artistic eye, capturing portraits, underwater scenes, and everyday life with a cinematic, atmospheric quality. Sylvia’s work reflects her belief that the most powerful images are the ones that honour people as they are.
