Sunken Beauty

Sunken Beauty explores the fragile space between beauty and dissolution. In this conceptual series, flowers—symbols of life and ephemerality—are immersed in liquid environments, altered by flowing color, crystalline textures, and distortion. What begins as purity is slowly disrupted.

About Artist

August Langhout

August Langhout, born in Sneek and raised in the Netherlands, developed his artistic vision through years of dedication to photography. Inspired by Impressionism and the natural world, he creates intuitive, emotionally layered images that explore color, reflection, and texture. By merging multiple photographic layers into a single poetic composition, his work captures the rhythm and transience of nature. Each image invites the viewer into a moment of stillness and contemplation, where emotion and beauty converge and the everyday is transformed into something timeless.
