About Artist

Christine Wilkinson

Christine Wilkinson Chris is a photographer and visual artist based in Melbourne, Australia, with a background in colour and design. Her passion for photography was sparked by early travel experiences and a fascination for the natural world. Coming later to photography practice, she is self-taught, expanding her skills through classes and workshops, while continually refining her artistic approach. Drawing inspiration from everyday moments and personal life experiences, Chris’ work explores themes of human experience, shared humanity, and our relationship with the natural world. Her work has exhibited in group shows and received commendation in photography awards. Her current body of work reflects an intimate connection with the garden, evocative of our human experience, drawing on narratives of memory, emotion and imagination. Chris shares her work in the hope viewers may find personal resonance, reflect and consider the world in new ways.
