About Artist
Vera Atuona
Vera is a student who discovered her love for art at a young art, despite her art looking as bad as a seven year old's work could possibly be she still decided to try. It was her passion that extended past visual arts into writing. To a child who had dyslexia but never understood what it was she didn't let it stop her, her story books scribbled with lots of mistakes admits the princess stories her mind conjured up. As she got to highschool she still loved art despite now focusing on science she created art whenever she could but it was a surprise to her to actually win an art competition held in the Indian Embassy of her country in 2018. Her love for art and nature transgressed into not just wanting to draw it into life but to capture the moments and beauty to last forever, that is when photography sparked her interest. The way it saved every piece it captured without missing a single stroke or dot (in photography term I should say pixel) every fleeting moment, the textures, the colours and emotions that weave our experiences. Photography gave her the opportunity to save everything her Aesthete self hoped to preserve for her memory during any trip she took for whatever purpose. Not being able to afford an actual camera she tries her best to use her phone camera to capture what fascinated her. No matter what form of art she does she always loves to tell a story through them, to evoke emotions and spark imagination in those who experience it.
