About Artist

Miles Harrison Carter

Miles Harrison Carter is a street photographer originally from Washington, DC, whose work explores the interplay of light, coincidence, and visual contrast. Through his lens, he captures striking juxtapositions in color and character that reveal the spontaneous narratives of everyday life. His photographs have been exhibited in a range of juried shows, including Exposed DC, For the Record presented by the Historical Society of Washington, DC, Color 2024 presented by the Artists Council, and the Miami Street Photography Festival, where he was named a two-time finalist. In 2024, he received the People’s Vote Award in the Non-professional Street category of the reFocus Awards Color Photography Contest and had a photo featured on PBS’s WETA Arts.
