About Artist
Jaime Travezán
I began my career as a photojournalist in my home country, Peru, before relocating to London in 1985, where I shifted my focus to fashion and portraiture. Over the years, my work has been published in magazines such as i-D, Elle, and Vogue, as well as in newspapers worldwide, including The Guardian, El País, and The Huffington Post. In 1999, I briefly returned to photojournalism when the opportunity arose to cover the Kosovo War. In the years that followed, my practice gradually evolved toward documentary photography and eventually into fine art, which now forms the core of my work. My work has also been recognised with awards on different occasions. Beyond photography, I enjoy exploring other creative forms such as music, GIFs, and video.
